1. Welcome to Sooth

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sooth mobile application, website, account area, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Sooth is operated by Sooth Mobile App (“Sooth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, purchasing, or using Sooth, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Sooth.

3. Sooth Is Not Medical Care

Sooth is intended for general wellbeing, relaxation, education, and self-help purposes.

Sooth is not a medical service.

The Services are not intended to:

  • Diagnose any medical or mental health condition
  • Provide medical advice
  • Provide psychological diagnosis
  • Replace therapy or counselling
  • Replace a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional
  • Recommend medical treatment
  • Provide emergency medical assistance
  • Provide crisis intervention or emergency monitoring

Information and exercises provided through Sooth should not be treated as professional medical advice.

Always seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional regarding questions about your physical or mental health.

Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of information obtained through Sooth.

4. Emergency Situations

Sooth is not an emergency service.

Sooth does not:

  • Continuously monitor you
  • Detect emergencies automatically
  • Contact emergency services automatically
  • Contact your emergency contacts automatically
  • Guarantee that crisis or emergency information is complete or available at all times

If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service in your location immediately.

Do not rely on Sooth as your only source of support during an emergency.

5. Panic and Grounding Features

Sooth may provide panic-support, breathing, grounding, or relaxation exercises.

These features are intended as general self-help tools and are not guaranteed to stop, prevent, treat, or cure anxiety, panic attacks, or any other condition.

Different people may respond differently to wellbeing exercises.

If an exercise causes discomfort or makes you feel worse, stop using it and consider seeking appropriate professional support.

6. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create and use a Sooth account, unless use by younger individuals is expressly permitted under applicable law and any required parental or guardian authorization has been obtained.

By creating an account, you represent that:

  • You meet the applicable minimum age requirement
  • The information you provide is accurate
  • You have legal capacity to agree to these Terms

If you are using Sooth on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

7. Your Sooth Account

Some Sooth features require an account.

You may be able to register or sign in using:

  • Email and password
  • Google Sign-In
  • Apple Sign-In
  • Other authentication methods we may support

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • Protecting access to your device
  • Notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised
  • Activities performed through your account where reasonably attributable to you

You may not sell, transfer, share, or provide unauthorized access to your account.

8. Account Security

You should use reasonable security measures to protect your account.

If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, change your credentials where possible and contact us at:

Maahey.inc@gmail.com

We may temporarily restrict account access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, or security issues.

9. Intellectual Property

Sooth may ask you questions to personalize your experience.

These may relate to:

  • How frequently you feel overwhelmed
  • Common stress triggers
  • Preferred calming activities
  • Current support needs
  • Companion preferences
  • Other wellbeing preferences

You are not required to treat Sooth’s personalization as professional advice.

Personalized content is intended to make the experience more relevant and does not represent a medical diagnosis or professional assessment.

10. Echo

Sooth may include a digital companion known as Echo.

Echo is part of the user experience and may provide guidance, prompts, reminders, or support through Sooth features.

Echo is not:

  • A human therapist
  • A doctor
  • A psychologist
  • A counsellor
  • An emergency responder
  • A substitute for professional care

You should not rely on Echo for medical decisions or emergency assistance.

11. Journaling

Sooth may allow you to write personal journal entries or reflections.

You are responsible for the information you choose to enter.

You should avoid including information that:

  • You do not have the right to provide
  • Violates another person’s privacy
  • Is unlawful
  • Infringes another person’s rights

Your journal is intended as a personal wellbeing feature and should not be considered professional therapy or clinical recordkeeping.

12. Emergency Contacts

Sooth may allow you to save information about a trusted contact.

If you provide another person’s:

  • Name
  • Relationship
  • Phone number
  • Other contact information

you represent that you have an appropriate basis to provide and use that information for this purpose.

Adding someone as an emergency contact does not mean that Sooth will monitor you or automatically contact that person.

Calls or messages may be initiated only when you choose to use the relevant functionality, unless a future feature clearly states otherwise and obtains any required permission.

13. Location-Based Resources

Sooth may request permission to access location information so that it can identify emergency or crisis resources relevant to your country or region.

You may decline location access through your device settings.

Emergency information may come from external sources and can change.

Although we aim to provide useful information, we cannot guarantee that every phone number, resource, provider, or service will always be available, accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific circumstances.

In an emergency, contact your local emergency service directly.

14. Community Features

Sooth may provide access to community features or third-party communities, including external platforms.

You agree to communicate respectfully and not use community features to:

  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate others
  • Promote hatred or violence
  • Impersonate another person
  • Share another person’s private information without authorization
  • Post unlawful material
  • Distribute malware or harmful code
  • Spam users
  • Attempt fraud or scams
  • Encourage dangerous or unlawful conduct
  • Infringe intellectual property rights

We may restrict access to community functionality if these rules are violated.

15. Third-Party Communities

Some community experiences may be hosted by third parties, such as Telegram or another community platform.

When you access an external service, you may become subject to that provider’s:

  • Terms of service
  • Privacy policy
  • Community rules
  • Account requirements

Sooth does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their independent operation, availability, moderation practices, or privacy practices.

16. Free and Premium Features

Sooth may offer both free and paid functionality.

Certain features may require an active subscription.

Paid features, availability, plan structure, pricing, and included functionality may change over time, subject to applicable law and any obligations associated with your existing subscription.

Crisis or emergency resources may remain available without a premium subscription where Sooth indicates this within the Service.

17. Subscription Plans

Sooth may offer subscription options such as:

  • Monthly subscription
  • Yearly subscription

The exact price, billing period, currency, features, and renewal terms applicable to your purchase will be displayed before you confirm the transaction.

Depending on the platform through which you subscribe, your subscription may be billed through:

  • Apple App Store
  • Google Play
  • An authorized payment provider
  • Another supported billing platform

Your purchase may also be subject to the terms of the applicable billing provider.

18. Automatic Renewal

Where a subscription is described as auto-renewing, it will continue to renew for additional subscription periods unless cancelled in accordance with the instructions and deadlines shown by the relevant billing platform.

The renewal price applicable to your subscription will be displayed or communicated as required by applicable law and the relevant platform.

You are responsible for managing your subscription through the platform through which you purchased it.

19. Free Trials

Sooth may offer a free trial to eligible users.

Where a trial is offered, the purchase screen will state information such as:

  • Trial duration
  • Subscription plan
  • Price after the trial
  • Billing frequency

Unless otherwise stated during purchase, a free trial associated with an auto-renewing subscription may convert into a paid subscription if it is not cancelled before the trial ends.

Trial eligibility may be limited and may vary by account, platform, region, or previous subscription history.

We may change or discontinue trial offers for future users.

20. Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel an active subscription using the cancellation method provided by the platform through which you purchased it.

For example, a subscription purchased through an app marketplace may need to be cancelled through that marketplace’s subscription settings.

Deleting the Sooth app from your device does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

Deleting your Sooth account also may not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription where the store separately controls billing.

You are responsible for cancelling the subscription through the appropriate billing provider where required.

21. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • The platform through which you purchased Sooth
  • Applicable consumer law
  • The circumstances of the purchase
  • The applicable billing provider’s refund rules

Where Apple, Google, or another third party processes your payment, refund requests may need to be submitted directly to that provider.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

22. Price Changes

Subscription prices may change from time to time.

Where required, users will receive notice of relevant price changes and any consent required by applicable law or the billing platform will be obtained.

A price change will not remove rights provided to you by applicable consumer law.

23. Your Progress

Sooth may display progress indicators such as:

  • Days since panic
  • Current streak
  • Sessions completed
  • Other activity information

These statistics are provided for personal motivation and informational purposes only.

They are not:

  • A clinical measurement
  • A health score
  • A diagnosis
  • Proof of treatment effectiveness
  • A prediction of future wellbeing

The accuracy of progress information may depend on your activity, information you provide, device connectivity, and technical availability.

24. Educational Content

The Sooth Learning Center may provide information about topics such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Panic
  • Grounding
  • Breathing
  • Emotional wellbeing

Educational content is general in nature.

It is not personalized professional medical advice and should not be used as the sole basis for medical or healthcare decisions.

25. Calm Sounds and Sleep Content

Sooth may provide audio content including:

  • Nature sounds
  • Meditation sounds
  • White noise
  • Sleep content
  • Relaxation audio

These materials are intended for general relaxation and wellbeing.

Do not use audio or exercises in circumstances where reduced attention may create a safety risk, including while driving or operating machinery.

26. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Sooth.

You must not:

  • Use Sooth for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user’s account
  • Attempt to bypass subscription or security controls
  • Interfere with Sooth’s servers or infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • Introduce malware or malicious code
  • Scrape or collect user information without authorization
  • Use automated systems in a way that places unreasonable load on the Service
  • Use Sooth to infringe another person’s rights
  • Attempt to circumvent account suspension or termination

27. Intellectual Property

Sooth and its original content, including where applicable:

  • The Sooth name
  • Sooth branding
  • Logos
  • Echo character
  • Designs
  • Illustrations
  • User interface
  • Graphics
  • Written content
  • Audio
  • Exercises
  • Software
  • Website content

are owned by or licensed to Sooth Mobile App and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publicly display, or commercially exploit Sooth content without written permission.

28. Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Sooth for your own lawful, personal use.

This license does not transfer ownership of Sooth or its content to you.

29. Your Content

Where Sooth allows you to submit or store content, such as journal entries, preferences, or community submissions, you retain your rights in content you own.

You grant us only the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, display, transmit, or otherwise handle that content to provide the relevant Sooth feature.

Public or community content may be visible to other users depending on the feature you choose to use.

30. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or other feedback about Sooth, you agree that we may use that feedback to improve or develop our Services without an obligation to compensate you.

This does not give us ownership of your unrelated personal content.

31. Third-Party Services

Sooth relies on or may integrate with third-party technologies and services.

These may include services for:

  • Authentication
  • Cloud hosting
  • Database infrastructure
  • App stores
  • Payment processing
  • External communities
  • Emergency resources
  • Links to third-party websites

Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for services operated independently by third parties.

32. Service Availability

We aim to keep Sooth available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance
  • Technical problems
  • Internet disruption
  • Hosting outages
  • Software updates
  • Security issues
  • Third-party failures
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

You should not rely on Sooth as a system requiring guaranteed or continuous availability.

This is especially important for emergency situations.

33. Changes to Sooth

We may update, modify, replace, improve, or discontinue features of Sooth.

Changes may be necessary because of:

  • Product improvements
  • Security requirements
  • Technical limitations
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Third-party service changes
  • Business decisions

Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes affecting paid services or consumer rights.

34. Suspension of Accounts

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary if:

  • These Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated
  • An account is used unlawfully
  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected
  • The Service or other users are placed at risk
  • Security requires immediate action
  • We are legally required to do so

Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve an issue.

35. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Sooth account through available account controls or by contacting:

Maahey.inc@gmail.com

Account deletion may remove information associated with your Sooth account, subject to our Privacy Policy and any information we are legally permitted or required to retain.

Deleting your account does not necessarily cancel a separately managed subscription.

If your subscription was purchased through Apple, Google, or another billing provider, you should separately confirm that the subscription has been cancelled.

36. Terminating Your Use

You may stop using Sooth at any time.

You may:

  • Sign out
  • Uninstall the app
  • Cancel an applicable subscription
  • Request account deletion

Certain provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability provisions, and dispute-related provisions.

37. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sooth is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Sooth will always be available
  • Every feature will work on every device
  • All content will be error-free
  • A particular exercise will work for every user
  • Use of Sooth will achieve a particular wellbeing outcome
  • Third-party information will always remain current

Nothing in this section excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

38. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sooth Mobile App will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising solely from use of or inability to use Sooth where such liability may lawfully be limited.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

39. Your Responsibility for Decisions

You remain responsible for decisions you make based on your personal circumstances.

Sooth exercises, educational materials, suggestions, reminders, statistics, and personalization features are intended to support general wellbeing and are not professional assessments or instructions.

For medical, psychological, financial, legal, safety, or other professional decisions, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

40. Privacy

Your use of Sooth is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information associated with your use of Sooth.

41. Consumer Rights

If you use Sooth as a consumer, you may have legal rights under the laws of your country or region.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

If a provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law applicable to you, the mandatory law will apply to the extent of that conflict.

42. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws, except where mandatory law in your country of residence gives you rights that cannot legally be overridden by this provision.

Any dispute will be handled by courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Do not publish this section until the company’s legal jurisdiction has been confirmed.

43. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice through:

  • The Sooth app
  • The Sooth website
  • Email
  • An account notification
  • Another appropriate method

Your continued use of Sooth after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

Where affirmative consent is legally required, we will request it.

44. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

45. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we permanently waive our right to enforce it.

46. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms clearly presented for a particular feature or purchase, form the agreement between you and us regarding your use of Sooth.
